The future of Mario Mandzukic at Bayern Munich doesn't hinge on the imminent arrival of Robert Lewandowski, reports talkSPORT.
This could come as bad news for the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal, who have both credited with interest in Mandzukic in recent time.
It now appears that Mandzukic is prepared to commit his long-term future with the Bundesliga giants, meaning the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal may have to look elsewhere for a new striker.
Transfer activity is expected to take place at both Arsenal and Chelsea in the summer, with additions to the forward line appearing a priority. The Gunners only have Nicklas Bendtner as back-up to Olivier Giroud, meanwhile Chelsea's three strikers have all struggled for consistency throughout the season.
It now remains to be seen as to whether either club will step up their interest in Mandzukic before he completes a new deal with Bayern.
