Top 10: Most dispensable players at the Premier League's big clubs (1)

When Jose Mourinho sits down to separate his players into two groups this summer, you can bet that David Luiz will find himself on the side labelled ‘for sale’.

Such is the Brazilian’s position at Stamford Bridge that although he is used fairly regularly in the first-team, you can’t help but get the feeling that he is playing on borrowed time in west London. The partnership of Gary Cahill and John Terry has meant that the need for him in the back line is negated, and a plethora of naturally gifted midfielders pushes him even further into the wilderness.

Put simply, was Luiz to leave Chelsea tomorrow there wouldn’t be too many negative knock-on effects. But of course he isn’t the only player to find himself in such a circumstance. Up and down the Premier League’s biggest sides there are plenty of characters who are treading dangerously on dispensable ice.

Here we name and shame those in the same boat as the former Benfica man. Click on to see our Top 10: Most dispensable players in the Premier League - sticking to the top teams, of course.
