Paris Saint-Germain forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic broke Premier League fans' hearts yesterday as he revealed a move to England would be 'impossible'.

Supporters of Manchester City and Chelsea - for example - would love to see Ibrahimovic plying his trade in the Premier League.

He would be a breath of fresh air for the Premier League as he is a big name who is capable of producing magical performances in the biggest games.

Ibrahimovic is among a host of players - who are yet to hang up their boots - who decided to reject a move to the Premier League one reason or another during their respective careers.

I suppose the only saving grace is that we can see players of Ibrahimovic's calibre in the Champions League but that still does not make up for seeing the Swedish star week-in, week-out.

Click through the following pages to see who makes our shortlist and comment in the box in the below if you feel we have missed someone out.

Remember - all of the following players are still playing for a professional club, hence why the likes of Zinedine Zidane and Paolo Maldini are not included in our selection.
