As this summer’s fiesta of football approaches, we assess England’s chances.

England are certainly long-shots to claim the famous trophy in South America next summer - if their pitiful showing at the Euros is anything to go by then there is little chance of success.

However it seems that there is indeed some hope amidst the pessimistic predictions of pundits and fans alike.

There is a wave of fresh new young talent coming through that could take the world by storm, plus there are enough older players still in place to offer a helping hand.

Will that blend be enough? We assess the negatives and positives of England's squad to see if they stand any chance at all in Brazil.
