We all know that Jadeveon Clowney is an incredible prospect in this years NFL draft, but one current player in the league predicts great things for the former South Carolina Gamecock.
Chicago Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffrey is very big on the defensive end knows he is going to be a star for years to come.
“He knows what he has to do,” Jeffery said to gogamecocks.com. “He’s going to be a great player. He’s going to dominate the league, and he’s going to be a Hall of Famer.”
That is an incredibly big claim when considering that Clowney has even yet to participate in a single training camp with a professional side.
But judging by his Pro Day earlier today, if there is anybody in this draft class with joining the likes of Deacon Jones and Jack Youngblood in the hall then it is the man himself Jadeveon.
From everything that has gone before Clowney simply has to be the first name called off the board at draft time in Radio City, New York come May time.
It may come as no surprise that Jeffrey himself was a former Gamecock at South Carolina just like the man he was talking about.
Clowney was immense during his pro day and certainly did enough to cement himself at the top of all future mock drafts from here on in.
All questions about Clowney's work rate were blown out of the water when you saw how hard his coaches were working him in the blazing sun earlier.
The top prospect looked dead on his feet by the time the workout finished and gave a nod of confidence to all NFL head coaches about his attitude toward training.
Jadeveon Clowney is certainly an incredible talent, but it's way too early to be mentioning the hall of fame. Give it 6 years and we'll see where he is then.
