Manchester United scouts are set to watch Sporting Lisbon duo William Carvalho and Carlos Mane this weekend, according to Portuguese newspaper OJOGO.
Manchester United manager David Moyes is expected to make a number of signings in the summer transfer window, and it appears that the Sporting duo are high on the priority list for the Red Devils boss.
And now, with United in action away at Newcastle United on Saturday afternoon, Moyes' scouts will be in Portugal to watch Carvalho and Mane as Sporting take on Pacos de Ferreira.
Manchester United have been linked with the pair for some time now, with recent reports suggesting that the Premier League champions had agreed a £37 million deal to sign Carvalho who has been dubbed the 'new Vieira'.
The Red Devils are certainly in need of new additions in the middle of the park, and Carvalho could prove a fine purchase for Moyes.
Meanwhile, Manchester United could also be in the market for Carvalho's club teammate Mane, who has been dubbed the 'new Ronaldo'. If recent reports are to be believed, United will have to stump up around £20m for the young winger.
That means the Manchester United boss may have to spend as much as £57m in order to bring the Sporting duo to the Theatre of Dreams this summer.
