New York Jets are set to pick a wide-receiver in the first round of the NFL Draft in May, and the latest to be linked with Gang Green is Kelvin Benjamin.
The AFC East team need more receiving talent ahead of the 2014 NFL season, and it's now looking more and more likely that they will choose to acquire this talent through the draft.
They had hoped to win the race to sign DeSean Jackson, but with the former Philadelphia Eagles receiver moving to the Washington Redskins, the Jets now have little other options beside the draft.
Starting Jets quarterback Geno Smith will be excited about new signing Eric Decker, who after an impressive 2013 for the Denver Broncos, will be turning out in a Jets jersey next season.
But more depth on the roster is needed, and Jets insider Manish Mehta insists the team have a strong interest in the 6ft 5inch Benjamin.
"Jets are very intrigued by Florida State WR Kelvin Benjamin, per team source. He'll be visiting #NYJ. "You can't teach 6-5," I was told," Mehta tweeted.
