Mourinho wants to bolster his forward line at the end of the season as Chelsea trio Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto’o and Demba Ba have all failed to prove their worth.
The Portuguese tactician has identified Atletico Madrid’s Diego Costa and Mario Mandzukic of Bayern Munich as the strikers he wants to bring to Stamford Bridge.
However Mourinho has been told by owner Roman Abramovich that he will have to make his own summer transfer funds by selling several members of his current squad.
Romelu Lukaku and David Luiz are also among the names that are likely to leave the west London outfit in the summer, while the likes of Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole could be moved on.
Former Real Madrid boss Mourinho will be hoping to raise enough funds to sign Costa and Mandzukic without having to sell either Hazard or Oscar - but may be forced into doing so if he wants to land a top of the range striker.
