Liverpool have been dealt a blow after the agent of Javier Pastore has confirmed that his client has no intention of leaving Paris Saint-Germain in the summer.
Pastore has struggled for regular action this season having signed for the Ligue 1 club back in 2011 for around £37 million.
The Argentinian has started just 12 league games this term and has been subbed off in eight of them - promptin speculation that he could leave in the summer.
However he offered a timely reminder of his ability in the Champions League on Wednesday, dancing through the Chelsea defence to score the final goal in PSG's 3-1 win at the Parc des Prince.
Liverpool have been previously linked with the 24-year-old, however his agent Marco Simonian has told Le Parisien: "He feels good with his team-mates and the staff and works every day to keep playing for PSG. He thinks only of PSG, and I can assure you that this is the truth."
Along with Liverpool, Lyon and Roma are also said to have been monitoring the situation of the former Palermo ace.
While the Reds are expected to be active in the transfer window in the summer, their main focus for now is winning their first ever Premier League trophy.
Liverpool, who will claim the league crown if they win their last six games, get their run-in underway against West Ham on Sunday.
