Manchester United boss David Moyes will have a major selection dilemma on his hands this weekend.

The Scotsman will be contemplating whether he should rest a number of his first-team stars ahead of his side's second leg tie against Bayern Munich.

Moyes may choose to keep his key players fresh for his side's upcoming match at the Allianz Arena, as he needs his best players at his disposal if Manchester United are going to progress to the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Juan Mata is a certainty to start in the hole as he is ineligible to play against Bayern Munich next Wednesday.

Fringe players such as Darren Fletcher and Javier Hernandez could start against Newcastle in place of Michael Carrick and Rooney respectively.

Patrice Evra is expected to return to Manchester United's starting line-up on Saturday after being forced into sitting out Tuesday night's tie at Old Trafford.

Moyes will be hoping to have Chris Smalling, Jonny Evans and Rafael available for selection - after the defensive trio were ruled out of Manchester United's encounter against the German and European champions.

Manchester United predicted line-up v Newcastle: De Gea; Rafael, Vidic, Jones, Evra; Fellaini, Fletcher; Januzaj, Mata, Young; Hernandez.
