With professional wrestling's showpiece event now just days away, excited rumours concerning which iconic names from the company's illustrious history could make an appearance had been circulating for weeks.
However, it now appears that there is no longer a need to speculate on Austin, with the Texas Rattlesnake - who was one of the biggest names during the WWE's celebrated 'Attitude' era - having confirmed his presence at the event at the Mercedes Benz-Superdome.
"I'm also going to be at Wrestlemania XXX," Austin told TMZ when asked just what he was doing in New Orleans.
Such an interview has since been shared by WWE.com, seemingly giving it all the validation it requires to be considered genuine.
However, while Austin confirmed to the reporter that he will be at Wrestlemania, he declined to expand on exactly what role he will be playing.
"You gotta check out the pay-per-view or you've got to go to WWE Network to find that out. That's breaking news, I can't tell you right here at the airport.
"You must tune in to the WWE Network or buy the pay-per-view and then you will see what I will be doing at Wrestlemania XXX. And that's the bottom line."
Even before Austin's announcement, this year's edition of the event - set to be hosted by none other than Hulk Hogan - was already shaping up to be a memorable one, with plenty of exciting matches on the card.
Daniel Bryan's brutal feud with The Authority is set to reach its climax as he faces off against Triple H, with the winner of that contest to be added to the main event match which sees Batista take on Randy Orton for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
As well as that, John Cena will go one-on-one with Bray Wyatt, the Big Show and Kofi Kingston are just two of the many superstars who will contest the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal while The Undertaker puts his undefeated streak on the line and looks to make it 22 consecutive Wrestlemania victories against old rival Brock Lesnar.
