When wrestling first started out, Great Britain had a number of very well-known wrestlers with iconic names such as Big Daddy, Giant Haystacks and Mick McManus gracing the ring.
In the world of WWE though, British representatives are few and far between. In the past we have seen characters such as British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith and William Regal flying the flag for Great Britain, but at present the British talent is very limited.
Though Irish, as Dublin falls under the category of Great Britain, Sheamus, the Celtic Warrior is currently the biggest name from there.
He is one of the biggest names in WWE at the moment, and after recently returning from a lengthy lay off due to a shoulder injury, is one of the favourites to win the Andre The Giant Battle Royal at WrestleMania XXX this weekend.
Having joined seven years ago, lesser-known superstar Drew McIntyre is Scotland's only representative on the current WWE roster and is one third of 3MB alongside Heath Slater and Jinder Mahal.
McIntyre has also been entered in the Andre The Giant Battle Royal alongside his "supergroup" bandmates but more for the need of making up numbers rather than having any real chance of winning the match.
The most patriotic British wrestler left in WWE is Wade Barrett, with his patriotism and love for all things English making him a big hit with UK fans, despite his 'Bad News Barrett' gimmick.
Barrett is not at present scheduled to be part of WrestleMania XXX, though he may fill one of the three remaining spots for the Battle Royal.
Despite the lack of British wrestlers in the current WWE line up, those that are in it seem to make enough of an impact to remind fans that Great Britain is still well and truly on the WWE map.
