Loaned-out Liverpool goalkeeper Jose Reina has admitted he is flattered to be linked with a move to Barcelona.
The Spanish 'keeper is nearing the end of a season-long stay at Napoli, and his good form in Italy hasn't gone unnoticed.
Reina was given permission to link up with former Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez by Anfield's current boss, Brendan Rodgers, in the summer following the arrival of Simon Mignolet.
The 31-year-old has starred in Serie A, making 24 appearances. Napoli are third in the table and their defensive record has only been bettered by Roma and Juventus.
Despite being given a 14-month transfer ban this week by Fifa, Barcelona are looking to replace Victor Valdes who is set to leave the Nou Camp after 12 years with the Catalans.
Reina, who spent his younger years with the Catalans, could fit the bill as the La Liga outfit are expected to contest their ban on buying players.
"My future? To be linked to Barcelona pleases me a lot," the former Villarreal man told FourFourTwo.
"But at the moment I just want to concentrate on Napoli.
"In the summer I will evaluate my situation with Liverpool."
The goalkeeper became a fans' favourite at Anfield following a move in 2005. He went on to play over 300 games for the Merseysiders before his loan away.
Rodgers is unlikely to require Reina's services next season either, the good form of Mignolet has helped fire the Reds to the top of the Premier League.
