Round two of the bitter Istanbul derby between Galatasaray and Fenerbahce will take place later today, as Roberto Mancini's men bid for revenge following a 2-0 defeat earlier this season.

This time, however, Galatasaray will be in their own stadium and will hope a frenzied home crowd can provide the inspiration for a win they desperately need to keep alive any fading title hopes.

For Galatasaray a win is the only option they have. They are currently sit second in the league table and are on the same number of points as third placed Besiktas (50), leaving both teams trailing the leaders Fenerbahce by a whopping 10 points.

Fenerbahce are the team with a sizeable advantage at the moment, because they still have one game in hand over both Galatasaray and Besiktas to extend their lead at the top of the table even further.

So for Galatasaray with all three points up for grabs a win would guarantee continued pressure over their rivals heading towards the close of the campaign.

Galatasaray's two top strikers Burak Yilmaz and Didier Drogba can provide the firepower to make that happen, sat in second and ninth place in terms of the Turkish goal charts respectively.

Drogba has 10 goals this season, while Yilmaz is on 13, just three behind the top trio of goalscorers in the Turkish top flight, giving Mancini's men every chance of winning every game they play if defensive deficiencies can be overcome.

Fener will travel across the Turkish capital in form and will hope to take a giant step towards the championship, but expect fireworks on and off the field tonight in one of football's most fiercely contested derby clashes.
