Mourinho's tactics blasted by Johan Cruyff

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho and Johan Cruyff don't get along, and the Dutch legend has rekindled the feud this week.

Blasting the Chelsea boss's defensive reflex, Cruyff laid into Mourinho's tactics and his propensity to fall out with his first-team stars.

The Special One had a number of high profile bust-ups with senior players at Real Madrid, and Cruyff believes it is only a matter of time before the same thing happens at Chelsea.

"PSG have a strong team with some great players," Cruyff said as reported by the Daily Mirror. "Chelsea have some great players as well, but Mourinho seems to disagree.

"It always the same with him. When things are going well, it's the result of his good work, but the players are to blame when things are going badly.

"He already lost the dressing room at Real Madrid because of that and I can see the same happening at Chelsea."

Mourinho and Cruyff have been antagonising one another for several years now, and there's clearly no love lost between the pair despite Mourinho's return to England.

Cruyff is not a fan of Mourinho's tactics - Barcelona were on the wrong end during Inter Milan's run to the final in 2010 - and the Dutch legend criticised the approach Mourinho takes to games.

"The problem is that he always goes for the result. That is subordinate to everything, even the best players he has running around.

"It is short-term thinking and I do not have much time for it."

Chelsea will have to open up in the Champions League this week, as they seek to overturn a 3-1 first-leg deficit against Paris Saint Germain in the quarter-finals.

The defending French league champions travel to west London for the match at Stamford Bridge tomorrow evening.
