Manchester United, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona have been offered renewed hope in their alleged pursuit of Mehdi Benatia, after the AS Roma defender's agent intimated he is considering a summer transfer.
According to French newspaper Le 10 Sport, the 26-year-old continues to attract interest from a host of top European clubs, following an impressive debut season at Stadio Olimpico.
Benatia only signed for Roma from Udinese in a €13.5million deal last summer, but is already being tipped for move away from Italy, after receiving admiring glances from a growing list of suitors.
Red Devils boss David Moyes is believed to monitoring the Morocco international's situation closely, as he continues his search for a centre-back replacement for the soon-to-be-departing Nemanja Vidic at Old Trafford.
Tata Martino has also been linked with Benatia, but Barcelona's impending transfer ban from FIFA could put pay to a potential switch to Camp Nou in either of the next two transfer windows.
Manuel Pellegrini could rival Manchester United for the in-demand star's signature, as he too is on the lookout for defensive reinforcements at the Etihad Stadium, with Joleon Lescott set to depart and question marks surrounding the long-term fitness of Matija Nastasic.
"Roma officials know other big clubs are interested," confirmed Benatia's agent Moussa Sissoko.
"A meeting with the club is due in the coming days and then we will see which challenge Mehdi will choose."
