AZ Alkmaar star Aron Johannsson was forced to endure a somewhat unconventional marking technique during the weekend encounter with Roda JC, as opposition defender Guy Ramos made a play for the wrong, ahem, balls.
Johannsson appeared to encourage the squeeze of his private parts as he chirped at Ramos as the two made their way to the edge of the area for a free-kick, but the USA international was incensed by his opponent’s behaviour.
After Ramos had briefly grabbed hold of Johannsson’s crown jewels, the AZ striker was visibly infuriated and began screeching his displeasure in the direction of the referee. Ramos escaped sanction from the official on this occasion, but was later sent from the field for two bookable offences.
Johannsson, meanwhile, was able to put the incident behind him as he found the net to put AZ into a 2-1 lead at the Parkstad Limburg Stadion shortly before the hour mark, although this was eventually cancelled out.
Guus Hupperts got the leveller for home side with 20 minutes remaining, with the point more valuable for Roda given their position at the bottom of the Eredivisie table.
