With the LV=CC just round the corner, there are some vying to prove a point and a few trying hard to make their England case again which makes this season really interesting.

Hence, we take a look at the Division 1 teams which are expected to produce future English stars this summer.

Durham

Captain: Paul Collingwood

Coach: Jon Lewis

Last season - Div One: 1st; Pro40: 1st round; T20: 1st round

Durham defied all the odds previous summer to lead their way to a Division 1 win. With some staggering performances by their captain Paul Collingwood, Ben Stokes, Scott Borthwick, Graham Onions and Mark Stoneman, they outclassed almost every side that played them.

Though, this season, they probably could miss most of these as they all have their England call-ups round the corner which makes it highly uncertain for them to defend their title. Though, they would look to their bowlers Chris Rushworth, James Harrison, Mark Wood and John Hastings to do something special for them.

Lancashire

Captain: Glen Chapple

Coach: Peter Moores

Last season - Div Two: 1st; Pro40: First round; T20: Quarter finals

After having done terrifically well last time around, the expectations are once again high from this side. Though they still have Simon Kerrigan, Glenn Chapple, Kyle Hogg and Jarvis, batting would be a worry for them as well with Jos Buttler expected to miss most of the season and Simon Katich gone as well.

Young batsmen would need to fire if they are to have any chances of winning the title.

Middlesex

Captain: Chris Rogers

Coach: Richard Scott

Last season - Div One: 5th; Pro40: 1st round; T20: 1st round

One of the best clubs in the world, Middlesex has established itself as a Division 1 side, a thing that was Angus Fraser's prime aim. However, its been a decade since they won any title except their T20 Title win in 2008.

With players Like Chris Rogers, Ted Dexter, Eoin Morgan, Steven Finn, Sam Robson, they'll push for a win from the start and take advantage of the stars they have in the team. Though, if they fail to be victorious in the start, they would be in serious trouble with most of their big names expected to leave for England.

Northamptonshire

Captain: Stephen Peters

Coach: David Ripley

Last season - Div Two: 2nd; Pro40: 1st round; T20: Winners

"Shocked" everyone was what they did. Who expected them to get promoted to the top tier and then win the T20 title? But, just like the other sides, they too have something to mull over.

Injuries to skipper Alex Wakely and overseas signing Jackson Bird haven't helped their cause. David Willey and David Sales are doubtful starters too and for your kind info, they were a key to this side's success last year. Crook and Hall are thus expected to play a huge role  when the above doyens would be absent.

Nottinghamshire

Captain: Chris Read

Coach: Mick Newell

Last season - Div One: 7th; Pro40: Winners; T20: Quarter-finals

A star studded line-up that faced utter disappointment last season. With players like Chris Read, Harry Gurney, Stuart Broad (initial part of the season), Samit Patel, Ajmal Shehzad, Luke Fletcher and James Taylor, they can always fancy their chances of winning a title.

Their new overseas signing Peter Siddle is a big boost too with a lot expected from him. Though, green tops at the Trent Bridge would worry the Outlaws.

Somerset

Captain: Marcus Trescothick

Coach: Dave Nosworthy

Last season - Div One: 6th; Pro40: Semi-finals; T20: Quarter-finals

Can their best player Nick Compton continue his golden run with the willow? Can Marcus Trescothick strike form finally? And can the Overton Brothers do something special?

These'll be the questions worrying Dave Nosworthy's side. Also, they are without Jos Buttler which is a major setback for the men from Taunton. Craig Kieswetter thus gets left to fill in the boots.

Sussex

Captain: Ed Joyce

Coach: Mark Robinson

Last season Div One: 3rd; Pro40: 1st round; T20: 1st round

Just about the team that is needed to win a title. This line-up boasts of some of the best County cricketers in Mike Yardy, Chris Nash, Luke Wells, Steve Magoffin, Jimmy Anyon, Ed Joyce and their new signing Jon Lewis.

And to add to this, they would be having Matt Prior and Chris Jordan at the start of the season as well which ensures that they start their season with a solid line-up. The last time around too, they were impressive as they finished on 3rd. Expect something similar this time.

Warwickshire

Captain: Jim Troughton

Coach: Dougie Brown

Last season - Div One: 4th; Pro40: 1st round; T20: 1st round

Another top-class team in Division 1. They could well get their season off to a flier with Jonathan Trott and Ian Bell in their line-up who, if in form, could prove out to match-winning players for them.

Though, whom they would be looking to for runs and wickets are the ones that are going to stay with them throughout the season, William Porterfield, Jim Troughton, Laurie Evans, Chris Woakes, Boyd Rankin, Chris Wright, Keith Barker, Oliver Hannon Dalby and young Tom Milnes who together have often outclassed their opponents.

Yorkshire

Captain: Andrew Gale

Coach: Jason Gillespie

Last season - Div One: 2nd; Pro40: 1st round; T20: 1st round

"The Best" in the LV=County Championship and the best club in the world for me. Throughout its 151 years, Yorkshire has been known to produce gems. The quality, the class of this team fills you with a certain level of excitement.

Gary Ballance, Joe Root, Jonny Bairstow and Tim Bresnan are just a few of the stars available, and add to this the fact they have Jason Gillespie as their coach, a man who truly loves this county. They are the favourites for me.
