It was promoted as the biggest Wrestlemania ever and didn’t it just deliver?

Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin and The Rock kicked the night off in the ring talking about themselves and the Wrestlemania’s gone by before all sharing a beer.

Daniel Bryan and Triple H excelled themselves as they opened the night’s wrestling action. Stephanie played her role well at ring side but Daniel Bryan predictably got the win to put himself into the main event later in the night.

After the match Triple H assaulted Bryan with a chair to leave fans questioning if he would be able to fight later on.

The Andre the Giant memorial battle royal wasn’t the big spectacle it was made out to be, only Sheamus and Big Show were given entrances and the remaining three spots weren’t even mentioned, as well as the fact that Christian was missing.

The win for Cesaro makes The Real American’s break up seems so more real, after he and Swagger collided on the kick off show, it seems that Cesaro finally has something to show he is better than Swagger in order to force the split and allow Cesaro to pursue a singles career.
Also…Just how did he lift Big Show over the top rope?

I don’t really know what to say about The Shield v The New Age Outlaws, it was a forgone conclusion that The Shield were going to win, but at the same time no one thought it would be that easy. The match was the shortest of the night (including the divas match) and Roman sealed the win with a superb double-triple power-bomb.

Reports after the match confirmed that Billy Gunn was coughing up blood after the match although it seems this didn’t have anything to do with the actual ending of the match. The Shield were just as dominant as they said they would be and are now 2-0 at Wrestlemania.

Bray Wyatt and John Cena was the hardest of all the matches to predict. Could Cena really lose at Wrestlemania? Could Bray handle losing clean with the run he was on? It seems Bray came up with the short straw, the best moment of the match was when Cena saw Bray being a spider and the look on his face was priceless. It seems the crowd didn’t get the memo that you cheer for a face and you boo for a heel because they were firmly behind Bray singing “he’s got the whole world in his hands.”

Cena managed to take out Harper, Rowan and Bray all by himself, but where does this leave The Wyatt Family? After besting The Shield twice, clean, to lose to John Cena. It’s an exceptional drop and I can’t wait to see what WWE do.

The Streak v The beast where do I start with this one? Twitter came alive as the streak was finally broken by a part time superstar, there were rumours of it being a botch, Taker being injured, Brock deciding pat way through he was going to win and the script changing at the last minute.

Now I am here to tell you than none of the above are true, The Undertaker wanted to end the streak four years ago against Brock Lesnar but WWE thought it was too soon, instead he picked Lesnar this year and the streak was ended the way it was always planned at the Wrestlemania of all Wrestlemania’s.

If Undertaker was injured then Brock would have stayed down after the Tombstone pile-driver minutes before. This wasn’t the case as a third F5 sealed Takers fate. As for the botch rumour, I can see where that came from because Brock’s music didn’t play straight away and the announcer was late as well as the crowd being silent and stunned but no. The only word is that the match was cut a little shorter than expected but it went as planned. Brock Lesnar was supposed to break the streak.

Undertaker received a standing ovation from the fans and announcers as he left the ring and headed up the never ending ramp as many suggested that this could be the last time we ever see him wrestle.

After the feeling of sick in my throat had gone away, I had dried my eyes and was able to look at the screen again, WWE had sent out the divas, 13 of them, one fall to the finish. It wasn’t a good match by any standards, the divas were thrown out there when the crowd were still in shock and you could tell because AJ retained after making Naomi tap and no one cared, the crowd were dead.

The main event, Randy Orton, Batista and Daniel Bryan, these poor guys, if anything Undertaker should have been the main event because everyone I was sat with had lost interest. It was a solid match and there was a fantastic Batista Bomb into an RKO on Daniel Bryan through the announce table.

But did you see Orton land back first onto a monitor and he still got up and continued! The bruising was already there and Batista asked him if he was ok because it looked like it hit him hard and he said he was.

Man of the match award has to go to him. Triple H and Stephanie involved themselves and were taken out by Bryan for their efforts and finally Randy Orton tapped to the Yes Lock as Daniel Bryan finally climbed up the mountain and took his place on the top holding the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

No CM Punk and no interference following Daniel Bryans win, Brie didn’t even celebrate with her man which I thought was rather harsh! But it all flowed nicely and we can all tell our kids in years to come that we sat there and saw it live on April 6th 2014 when the longest streak in sports entertainment finally came to an end.

How on earth can Raw after Mania top this? I guess we only have to wait a few hours to find out.
