London joggers had to look twice on The Mall yesterday as two waxwork figures of Olympic medallist and marathon runner Mo Farah were revealed there.

The two-time Olympic gold medallist winner can be seen doing his well-known 'Mobot' pose in the waxwork models which have been created by the popular tourist attraction Madame Tussauds.

The figures were made to be placed alongside other well-known sportspeople in both the London and Blackpool Madame Tussauds venues.

In London, Farah's waxwork will be accompanied by statues of fellow Olympians such as Usain Bolt, Tom Daley and Jessica Ennis in Baker Street while in Blackpool Farah's other figure will be stood near Tiger Woods and Lewis Hamilton.

The Mall was chosen as the place to unveil the life-like waxworks as it is the location of the London Marathon's finishing line.

Some runners whose route takes them down The Mall posed for photographs with the statues, saying they could not believe the figures were wax works as they look so realistic.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Nicole Fenner, PR Manager for Madame Tussauds London, added: "Like the rest of the country we're backing Mo Farah for the London Marathon and we wanted to do something special to wish him well."

The Virgin Money London Marathon gets underway at 10am on Sunday 13th April when we will see Mo Farah making his debut in the race.
