Manchester United target Toni Kroos has told his team-mates at Bayern Munich and Germany that he's keen on making a move to Old Trafford, according to The Daily Mirror.
United are reportedly ready to splash £40million on the German midfielder and bump his salary to £200,000 a week.
Despite Kroos only having one year left on his contract, United are prepared to break the bank, and the opportunity for Kroos to be the main man at Old Trafford along with a pay rise may be an offer he can't refuse.
With the likes of Carrick, Anderson and Cleverley all being rumoured to be out the door in the summer, a new midfield may just be made around Kroos, and although Munich are reluctant to sell one of their best players, the emergence of Thiago and £40million may test their resolve.
Kroos has reportedly announced his discontent of being second-choice, behind Bastian Schweinsteiger and believes he'll never be given an equal opportunity compared to the experienced midfielder.
If David Moyes were to capture the signature of Kroos, it would signal massive intent to other clubs that United are ready to sign the biggest names, and Kroos' signing may attract stellar names at the same time.
The prospect of a midfield with Toni Kroos and William Carvalho next season is suddenly looking more real then ever before, with The Mirror also reporting United have held further negotiations this weekend.
The idea of these two players being in Manchester United's team next season is mouth-watering if they're able to combine with the likes of Januzaj, Rooney, Mata, Robin van Persie and Kagawa.
