Manchester United boss David Moyes is expected to ring the changes against Bayern Munich on Wednesday night after resting a number of his key stars at the weekend.

Moyes decided to leave Rio Ferdinand, Michael Carrick and Danny Welbeck at home in order to save them for Manchester United's all-important clash against Bayern Munich.

David de Gea and Nemanja Vidic were left on the substitutes' bench for the Red Devils' comfortable win over Newcastle - while Wayne Rooney was working on his fitness ahead of Manchester United's showdown against the German champions.

Moyes will again be without the ineligible Juan Mata due to his participation with former side Chelsea during the earlier rounds of the competition.

Rooney is however expected to be risked for tomorrow's clash at the Allianz Arena, while Patrice Evra will return from the ban which saw him miss the first leg.

Bayern Munich, on the other hand, will be without the suspended Javi Martinez and Bastian Schweinsteiger.

Manchester United predicted line-up v Bayern Munich: De Gea; Jones, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra; Fletcher, Carrick; Valencia, Kagawa, Welbeck; Rooney.
