With many top clubs across Europe expected to make big additions to their respective squads this summer, excitement in the press and among fans is already building ahead of the next transfer window.

But while much of the attention is generally being focused on which new names could be arriving, there are also a number of players who look as if they could be set to depart the top sides in the near future.

Such departures - which are all speculation of course, with nothing at all set in stone just yet - could be on the horizon as a result of a number of factors including expiring contracts, a loss of form or a desire to seek more regular first-team opportunities.

Here, we take a look at a selection of players who could be set to leave their current employers this summer and move on to somewhere else that could be, in this moment in time, considered slightly less reputable.
