Just days after being inducted into the illustrious WWE Hall of Fame and just hours after appearing on Raw telling the fans that the "spirit of Ultimate Warrior will live forever," the man himself has passed away.
Reports suggest that Warrior, real name James Hellwig was walking from his hotel to his car with his wife Diana when he collapsed suddenly and was taken to hospital but later pronounced dead.
There is no official word on the cause of death, but many WWE superstars have been tweeting about the legend and giving their condolences to his family.
Triple H tweeted: "Saddened to announce the passing of the Ultimate Warrior. Icon and friend. My sympathy to his wife Dana and his daughters."
This was followed by WrestleMania XXX host Hulk Hogan tweeting: "RIP WARRIOR. only love."
The Ultimate Warrior began his Wrestling career back in 1987 and after becoming one of the most popular and high profile WWF superstars he was finally inducted into the Class of 2014 Hall of Fame on Saturday night.
A WWE statement said: "We are grateful that just days ago, Warrior had the opportunity to take his rightful place in the WWE Hall of Fame and was also able to appear at WrestleMania 30 and Monday Night Raw to address his legions of fans.
"The whole WWE world is shocked by the news after seeing an apparently healthy Warrior on Monday Night Raw just yesterday, but right now our thoughts go out to Diana and his two daughters."
It will certainly take a lot of time for the WWE Universe to get over the passing of one of the greatest wrestlers the industry has ever seen.
