The wrestling world has been left saddened by the sudden news that The Ultimate Warrior has unfortunately passed away at the age of 54.
Warrior, real name James Hellwig, was the main inductee in the Hall of Fame class of 2014, where he was inducted by Linda McMahon and was brought to the podium by his two young daughters.
Fans all over the world came together to celebrate The Ultimate Warrior's highly anticipated return to the WWE, where he gave an inspirational induction speech before returning to Monday Night Raw two night later.
Who knew that this past Monday would be the last time The Ultimate Warrior would be with the WWE, having recently signed a three-year deal with the company in an ambassadorial role.
The New Orleans crowd gave him the reaction and cheers he truly deserved, and you could see by his expressions that he was happy to be there in front of the fans, but it was his speech inside the ring which truly hit the fans hard.
Not a lot of fans paid attention that night, but now it is hitting the fans that perhaps his speech was his final message to the WWE and its fans, maybe he knew his time was coming to an end and the reason he buried the hatched with the company was because he knew he had to make peace before leaving.
Looking back at the video it certainly was an emotional few minutes as he spoke to the fans and the superstars: "No WWE talent becomes a legend on their own.
"Every man's heart one day beats his final beat. His lungs breathe their final breath.
"And if what that man did in his like makes the blood pulse through the body of others and makes them believe deeper in something that's larger than life, then his essence, his spirit, will be immortalised by the storytellers - by the loyalty, by the memory of those who honour him, nd make the running the man did live forever.
"I am The Ultimate Warrior, you are the Ultimate Warrior fans and the spirit of The Ultimate Warrior will run forever."
Less than 24 hours later The Ultimate Warrior left this world and many believe this promo was his way of thanking the fans and preparing them for his departure. WWE superstars and officials have paid their respects to the legend whilst thousands of fans have also flooded social media sharing their sorrow after hearing this upsetting news.
Many fans look up to Warrior as a role model after he became the first ever superstar to hold the WWE Championship and the Intercontinental Championship at the same time, after he defeated Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania VI in a Champion vs. Champion match.
The Ultimate Warrior has had a number of public feuds with past superstars, Jake 'The Snake' Roberts was one of them and also paid his respects to his rival but mentioned that he was happy that the two managed to work our their differences before he passed away.
Whereas Kevin Nash, another one of his rivals shared that he was happy that he was able to embrace Warrior backstage at the Hall of Fame ceremony and called a truce to their animosity towards one another.
Hulk Hogan was The Ultimate Warrior's most bitter rival, however Hogan also paid tribute to Warrior on his Twitter account.
At least The Ultimate Warrior was able to collect his Hall of Fame ring and receive the recognition he deserved in person, and the most intense superstar in the history of the business leaves this world having etched his name in the pantheon of WWE greats.
May he rest in peace.
