The Undertaker's defeat to Brock Lesnar at  WrestleMania XXX has cast doubt over a potential WWE debut for wrestling legend Sting, reports cagesideseats.com.

Reports had suggested that Sting was set to take on The Deadman at WrestleMania 31, but with the Streak now over, it remains to be seen as to whether Taker will ever return to the industry.

Sting, who is a former WCW champion, has famously never appeared in the WWE, but it's now extremely unlikely that he will take on Taker at the Grandest Stage of them All.

The WWE may now have to reconsider their options as they look to head down a different path with the superstar.

Rumours have suggested that the WWE could use Sting in a similar fashion to how they've used Hulk Hogan in recent time.

Hogan was the host of WrestleMania XXX and, with Sting aged 55, his days fighting in the ring may well be over.
