After possibly the best WrestleMania ever on Sunday night, you may be forgiven for thinking that Monday Night Raw would have a hard act to follow the evening after.

This however was not the case as WrestleMania XXX caused the follow-up programme to      draw in a staggering 18 percent rise in viewing figures from the previous week's Raw.

Despite the previous week's Raw also being focused on WrestleMania XXX, it seems WWE fans were more interested in seeing how story lines would develop following the historic event.

The rating was the highest the WWE has experienced since Raw 1,000 in July 2012 as well as topping the number for the post-WrestleMania XXIX show last year.

The total figure for viewers for the show was an astounding 5.146 million, with this dropping to a still impressive 5.032 million in its final hour of viewing.

With regard to the current three-hour long Raw show, it has not managed to reach 5 million third-hour viewers since Raw 1,000 in July 2012. The closest it has come was 4.93 million during the airing of the episode of Raw which came the night after last year's Royal Rumble pay-per-view.

This rise in viewers comes alongside the WWE's recent launch of the WWE network which enables anyone who signs up exclusive access to extended hours of WWE footage and extra behind-the-scenes shows for $9.99 a month.

In a recent press release WWE announced that since its launch of the WWE Network it had gained 667,287 subscribers in 42 days, meaning it is well on course to meet the company's target of 1 million subscribers by the end of 2014.

With the success of WrestleMania XXX as well as the Raw which followed it and the WWE Network, it is no question that WWE is currently at a peak in its business. This comes before the creation of the WWE Network in countries such as the UK, Canada and Australia which are due to happen by next year.
