The NBA has become more and more international since 1990's, with more teams and management personnel trusting the development and skills of players born outside of the United States.
It has also helped that more and more international players are bringing their talents to the United States to play college basketball.
Last year's top pick Anthony Bennett hails from Toronto, Canada.
This year, two stars from Kansas that are making the jump, Andrew Wiggins (also from Toronto) and Joel Embiid (Yaoundé Cameroon) who were born outside of the U.S., and Dante Exum, the son of an American-former basketball player, was born in and has lived his whole life in Australia.
The league has seen its share of stars from the top spot in the draft, and some have hailed from other countries.
