Miami Heat have been dealt a blow they may have already expected after it was revealed that center Greg Oden will be out for the rest of the season.

The 26-year-old has had a turbulent career to say the least, and despite making an NBA comeback this season, the 2013/14 campaign seems to have provided the same result.

Oden's return to the NBA this season was certainly a heart-warming story for fans across the league when he finally took his place on court for the Heat.

The signing was justified because Miami needed a big man, but it looks like they will have to go without for the playoffs.

Oden's health issues have haunted him throughout his career, and now NBA insider Brian Windhorst believes he will not be back.

"I don’t think Greg Oden is going to play the rest of the seaosn to be honest. I think Roy Hibbert broke him,” @WindhorstESPN on 1070," he tweeted

The Heat signed Oden with the intention of providing cover during the playoffs, but now they will have to fill that void come the post-season.
