New York Rangers star hits out at former team after making playoffs

New York Rangers star, Martin St. Louis has fired a parting shot at his former team after the Rangers guaranteed a playoff berth recently

St.Louis forced a trade from the Tampa Bay Lightning earlier this season and although the Lightning are currently higher in the standings than the Rangers, St. Louis is still happier in his new surroundings.

"Nothing better than playoffs in a big market. I'm excited about it" said St. Louis after the Rangers secured their place in the postseason.

New York clearly have a bigger market to use from a business point of view than Tampa Bay, but St.Louis left the Lightning for a team that are not a clear cup contender compared to his former team.

There were obviously problems between St. Louis and management, potentially stemming from the GM's decision to not originally include the player on Team Canada's Olympic roster.

However, for all St. Louis' feelings, the Rangers are not all that much better than the Lightning.
