Hulk Hogan will return to the WWE following his hosting gig at WrestleMania XXX, with the iconic entertainer set to make an appearance when SmackDown heads to London next month.
The o2 Arena will host the edition of SmackDown on May 20 and, it was announced on Friday, Hogan will feature in the taping of the event. Hogan’s scheduled appearance was praised on Twitter by two British WWE superstars - new Divas champion Paige and Wade Barrett.
This news comes of the back of Hogan’s successful appearance at WrestleMania last weekend, where his opening segment featured cameos from The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin.
WrestleMania XXX was one of the most dramatic in the event’s esteemed history, with The Undertaker finally seeing his enduring streak ended by Brock Lesnar, while Daniel Bryan became WWE champion after seeing off Triple H, Batista and Randy Orton.
There has, however, been a far more sombre tone in the WWE in the days since, with legendary star Ultimate Warrior to have passed away on Tuesday. Warrior had been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame only last weekend, while he was seen again on RAW before suffering a heart attack 24 hours later.
