Manchester United target Koke has reiterated his desire to stay at the Vicente Calderon beyond the current campaign.
Koke was rumoured to have been a top Manchester United target last summer - however a move for the 22-year-old failed to materialise.
Manchester United were said to be ready to renew their interest in Koke in the summer transfer window however they have since suffered a setback in the race to land the Atletico Madrid midfielder.
Koke, speaking to AS, this week revealed he is more than happy to commit his long-term future to Atletico Madrid.
“I’m happy and I’m not thinking at all about leaving right now.
"I’m very happy here at my home club and I want to stay, and that’s why I have a long-term contract.”
News of Koke's desire to stay at Atletico Madrid comes just a day after it was confirmed Ilkay Gundogan would miss the rest of the season and the upcoming World Cup in Brazil.
Moyes will now have to switch his attention to another midfield target with Toni Kroos and William Carvalho among the players who could end up at Old Trafford before the start of next season.
