In February, TJ Oshie was USA's shootout king at the Olympic games as his skills helped defeat Russia. However yesterday he was brought back to reality with this devastating hit to the head during a game against the Minnesota Wild.

The St. Louis Blues star has been integral to the team's playoff run this season with 29 goals and 31 assists.

However, Oshie was taken out of the game after the collision with Mike Rupp of the Wild and he could be a doubt for the remaining regular season games.

Rupp was ejected from the game and the league will investigate the incident with the hit certainly looking like an intent to injure rather than an innocent coming together.

The Wild won the game by a score of 4-2.
