Manchester United boss David Moyes will priorities in defence in the up coming transfer window, according to Michael Owen.
As reported by The Daily Star, the former Red Devils striker has insisted that the Red Devils boss will have to replace a number of first team regulars this summer.
With captain Nemanja Vidic having already revealed that he will be leaving the club at the end of the season, Owen has also predicted that the likes of Rio Ferdinand and Patrice Evra could follow the Serbian star out of the door at the Theatre of Dreams.
And with a reported £200 million available to David Moyes, a great deal of transfer activity is expected at Old Trafford this summer.
Owen certainly thinks Manchester United will make a number of signings, as he's told Starsport: "I definitely think they will reinvest in terms of defenders.
"If you go across the backline, Nemanja Vidic is leaving, Rio is coming to the end of his career and that's similar with Patrice Evra. There are three payers there that have been regular starters for a long, long time.
"I have to think defence will be one of the priorities for David Moyes.
Owen believes United have enough quality in attack, but also expects the club to improve in midfield in the summer window.
He continued by saying: "From a Manchester United point of view, there's a lot of attacking talent there - but if you can't get the ball to them in good areas, it doesn't matter what you've got up front.
"I think centre midfield might be one position that they are looking at. If they do get people in, I've got no doubt the frontline will blossom."
