Samuel Eto’o was the one reinforcement to the goalscoring department and, while the veteran Cameroonian has been competent, he hardly possesses the prowess of his time at both Barcelona and Inter Milan.
Eto’o is the best of a pretty beleagured bunch at Stamford Bridge, with Fernando Torres never really offering Chelsea what they require despite numerous chances, and Demba Ba even further down Mourinho’s food chain.
