Arsenal are ready to make a move for Benfica striker Rodrigo Moreno, according to the Sunday People.
If reports are to be believed, the Gunners are ready to offer as much as £28 million for the player's services in the up coming transfer window.
Moreno has had a fine season at the Portuguese and scored in north London against Arsenal's rivals Tottenham earlier this season.
The striker has yet to receive a full international cap, but has played at both U-21 and U-23 levels for Spain.
And now it appears that the 23-year-old - who used to be on the books of Real Madrid - is wanted by Wenger this summer.
However, if the Arsenal boss is to bring Moreno to the Emirates, then he may have to battle Italian outfit Inter Milan for the player's signature.
It appears that Inter are ready to offer the asking price for the forward and could hand the player better terms than Arsenal.
Arsenal are certainly in need of improving their options in attack, with Yaya Sanogo and Nicklas Bendtner the only real back ups for Olivier Giroud.
It remains to be seen as to whether the Arsenal boss steps up his interest in the striker in the near future.
