The main thing for Crystal Palace was getting the three points yesterday as it was a game we knew we could get something out of.

However we will not be getting carried away as we know we have some tough games to play between now and the end of the season.

Games come thick and fast so we have to quickly focus our attention on our match against Everton.

I came close to scoring on a couple of occasions but it just wasn't to be. I am not going to really think too much about why I haven't scored so far this season. The main thing for me is trying to make sure we are playing in the Premier League next season.

I am getting in the right areas now so at least I am working the goalkeeper as well as claiming assists for my teammates.

I was definitely tripped by Grant Holt in the first half. He kicked my leg from behind so we should have got a penalty for that. I am surprised Howard Webb didn't give it.

It is just a good thing we managed to get the win as that could have made a big difference in our fight to stay in the Premier League.

I have to give a special mention to my Crystal Palace teammate Jason Puncheon as he has had a terrific last few weeks.

The floodgates start to open when you start scoring goals one, two, three goals - and hopefully that can happen to me as well.

We are almost there in terms of staying in the Premier League but we still have a lot to do as a couple of teams under us won yesterday.

It is going to be a tough game on Wednesday against Everton - particularly for me as I will be coming up against two of the best full-backs in the division. But you have to relish the challenge.

They are pushing for a Champions League spot and we are looking to get as far away from the relegation zone as possible so it will be a battle up there.

Hopefully the Crystal Palace fans can again be our 12th man at Goodison Park. They were marvellous again yesterday. When I went over to take a corner I felt a real buzz which gave me an extra bit of adrenaline. Selhurst Park really is a lovely place to play football.
