Liverpool defender Glen Johnson is unsure over his Anfield future after admitting contract talks are yet to be started, reports the Daily Star
The 29-year-old England international is back in the Liverpool first-team after over coming injury, and despite admitting he is enjoying his football at the moment, he is unsure over his future.
“I haven’t heard anything. So I’ll just have to get through the next few games and see what happens." said Johnson.
“Of course, it’s not nice not knowing what you’re going to be doing in the future.
“I’ve enjoyed every minute here and I’d love to stay longer. But at the moment I don’t know what the club’s plans are.”
The former Chelsea man has only a year left on his current deal, meaning a summer exit could be on the cards if a new contract is not agreed.
Johnson has come straight back into the Reds' defence since injury and been a key part of the clubs title run, having made 24 league appearances this season.
He is likely to be included in Roy Hodgson's 23-man squad for the World Cup finals in Brazil, which could prove to be the perfect platform to prove his worth to his current club or attract interest from other parties.
