Spartak Moscow winger Aras Ozbiliz has claimed that Manchester United scouts have been sent to watch him in recent weeks.

Ozbiliz, who came through the prestigious youth ranks at Ajax, has said he was watched in his side's 1-0 win over Kryliya Sovetov on Friday.

"I know they (Man United) came to see me playing," he told Voetbal Primeur.

“But I don’t think they are interested after this match. I played my worst game for the last few years.”

Ozbiliz made 26 league appearances for Ajax, and scored against Manchester United during their Europa League tie in 2012.

The Armenian international moved to Russian side Kuban Krasnodar in the summer of 2012 before a move to Moscow last summer.

The 24-year-old could be lined up for a move to Old Trafford in the summer as David Moyes looks to rebuild his squad at United, with the likes of Ashley Young, Nani, Shinji Kagawa and Anderson all being touted to leave.

Ozbiliz could be seen as a cheap option for Moyes, after he failed to attract the big name targets last summer, with his former Everton man Marouane Fellaini his only major midfield acquisition.
