Portugal head coach Paulo Bento has left the door open for Manchester United loanee Bebe to earn a place in his 23-man squad for this summer's World Cup finals in Brazil.

Bebe has scored 10 goals in 23 appearances for loan club Paços de Ferreira this season - and Bento told reporters that he "won't rule Bebe out" from earning his first Portugal caps at the showpiece international tournament.

The 23-year-old, who has scored six goals in his last six matches, completed a shock £7.4m move to Manchester United from Vitória S.C. in 2010 - but made just two Premier League appearances before being sent out on loan to Besiktas, where his fortunes failed to improve.

The former Homeless World Cup participant then had another unsuccessful loan spell with Rio Ave in 2013, but appears to have finally found a home with Portuguese Primeira Liga outfit Paços de Ferreira.

Bebe, a former Portugal Under-21 international, will be hoping to add to his goals tally this evening as relegation-threatened Pacos travel to high-flying Estoril.
