Bayern Munich have announced the signing of Sebastian Rode from Eintracht Frankfurt. The 23-year-old midfielder will join the club in the summer on a free transfer.
The German Under-21 international has penned a four-year deal with the European champions, and was in fine form earlier season until he picked up a knee injury in February that has kept him out since.
Rode, who has made over 100 first-team appearances, told the Bayern Munich website: "I'm really happy that this transfer has been completed.
"Bayern is the next big step for me, I want to develop here and win a lot of titles with my future team-mates."
Rode becomes Pep Guardiola's second confirmed summer signing after a deal for Robert Lewandowski was completed in January.
Rode's signature could fuel further speculation that Toni Kroos is set to leave this summer.
Sporting director Mathias Sommer praised Rode's attributes. He said: "Sebastian Rode is an excellent professional, he embodies the highest level of professionalism and dynamism.
"I'm sure he will give our team a lot of momentum to tackle future challenges."
