Feyenoord defender Daryl Janmaat, a reported summer transfer target for both Arsenal and Liverpool, scored with an absolute belter during the weekend victory over PSV in Eindhoven. No wonder there is interest in him.
The Netherlands international was on target to cap off a 2-0 victory for Feyenoord, with three points cementing their position as the second best club in the Eredivisie this season. And what a goal it was from Janmaat.
With a loose ball dropping outside the PSV area, Janmaat charged onto it and rifled his shot into the top corner. It could be the last contribution of note for the 24-year-old before he leaves Feyenoord, with Janmaat expected to secure a transfer this summer.
Feyenoord have announced the player will not be signing a new contract, with his current deal set to expire next year, and Janmaat could part for around £3.5 million. Arsenal have been credited with interest in the right-back, who is reported to have been identified as a potential replacement for Bacary Sagna.
Along with Arsenal, Liverpool are also reportedly keeping tabs inn Janmaat, with Brendan Rodgers keen to bring defensive reinforcements to Anfield when the transfer window opens once again in July.
