One NFC executive has called Jadeveon Clowney "Spoiled" and "lazy", according to an NJ.com report.
Clowney, who is expected to be a top-five draft pick next month, showed up to the NFL combine last month in top condition, it was widely noted he was in better shape than the rest of the defensive lineman.
The NFC personnel man said: “He’s spoiled, and he’s lazy. He’s never worked hard a day in his life, now all of a sudden you’re going to give him a bunch of money and expect him to work hard. I don’t see it."
There is the strong possibility that Clowney will be the first pick of the draft, providing that the Houston Texans don't take one of the quarterbacks, failing that its highly likely that the St Louis Rams or Jacksonville Jaguars will take him with the second or third pick respectively.
All of these three teams have had no problems with his work-ethic, so its possible that the comments come from the Rams, as a way to discourage the Texans from taking the defensive end.
The exec also said: “Oh, he’s going to be a high pick. Some team will fall in love with him. But wait and see, just wait and see. I just don’t think you can count on him. I’m betting the under on him.’’
