It's been a long time coming but Clint Dempsey is finally starting to show some Premier League quality performances in the emerald green kits of the Seattle Sounders.
After originally coming to the league in August of 2013 and subsequently a loan period at Fulham, the United States international looked dreadful and not at all worth the $9million fee that was paid to Tottenham Hostpur.
But the Sounders have stuck with their big money man and it seems like they are finally reaping the dividends of it with a great run of form in recent weeks.
And in keeping with his nickname, 'Deuce' has made it two MLS Player of the Week awards in a row after a string of fine displays.
After scoring a hat trick last time out against the Portland Timbers to take home the Week 5 award, Dempsey continued his goal scoring spree with a brace against FC Dallas on Saturday in as 3-2 victory away from home against one of the league's top teams.
Dempsey scored Seattle's first equalizer on a spectacular 30-yard free kick free kick in the first half and the Texas native followed that up by netting the winner in the waning moments of the match at Toyota Stadium.
