Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger remains interested in signing long-term targets Salomon Kalou and Loic Remy.
The Frenchman has been linked with making a move for the aforementioned pair for a significant amount of time - however a deal which would see the duo move to the Emirates Stadium has never failed to materialise.
Although things could change this summer as Wenger is said to be keen on bolstering his attacking options by adding both Kalou and Remy to his ranks.
The London Evening Standard suggests the Arsenal boss has been boosted in the race to sign Kalou as the Ivory Coast forward has made it clear he wants to leave Lille at the end of the season.
Kalou, who has scored 12 goals in 33 Ligue 1 games for Lille, would be keen to seal a move back to London in the summer as he enjoyed his previous spell in England's capital city with Chelsea.
Remy on the other hand is set to leave parent club Queens Park Rangers following his loan spell with Newcastle United as he is desperate to play for a side that will be competing in next season's Champions League.
