Manchester United manager David Moyes has issued fines to Danny Welbeck, Tom Cleverley and Ashley Young after the trio were pictured partying in the days that followed the side's 3-1 defeat to Bayern Munich last Wednesday.
The defeat, which ended any faint hopes the Scot may have had of a trophy in his debut campaign, also meant qualification for the Champions League next year seems a distant dream with the club poised to play their trade in the Europa League for the foreseeable future.
According to a report in the Daily Mail, Moyes called the three troublemakers into his office at Carrington before making them undergo extra training in the absence of other first team members.
It is unknown how much the trio were fined, and with the United manager still unsure of which players will depart in the much expected summer revolution it could cast the futures of all three into doubt.
Only Welbeck started the clash in Bavaria, whilst Cleverley and Young have been subject to much abuse over the course of the season.
The former Watford and Wigan man also deleted his Twitter account having been inundated with angry cries for his departure from hostile fans.
Young has shown flashes of brilliance during his time at Old Trafford but has never developed into the player many thought he would, with injuries and the form of fellow wingers Antonio Valencia and Adnan Januzaj proving a troublesome object to overcome.
Borussia Dortmund ace Marco Reus has been widely tipped to be a summer transfer target, and his arrival would surely spell the end to the Englishman’s career at the club.
