Arsenal have identified Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Lars Bender as a key target for the summer transfer window.
According to the Daily Mail, the central-midfielder, who has enjoyed a fine season at the Bundesliga outfit, is now on Arsene Wenger's wanted list for the up coming window.
Bender is just 24-years-old and has played a number of time for the German national side in recent time. It's expected that the midfielder will be involved in this summer's World Cup and he could be heading to the Premier League ahead of next season.
Despite Arsenal being on course to end their trophy drought this season, the club have struggled to maintain their early season title challenge.
And Wenger has now been tipped to spend this summer, with the signing of Bender appearing a priority for the Arsenal boss.
The Gunners already have a number of German stars playing at the club, with the likes of Mesut Ozil, Per Mertesacker, Serge Gnabry and Lukas Podolski all currently starring in north London.
Arsenal's immediate attention, however, will turn to their clash with West Ham United at the Emirates this evening. Arsene Wenger's side will be desperate to secure all three points against the Hammers as they look to climb above Everton into fourth spot in the league.
