Arsenal - five stars who could leave this summer (1)

With the season coming to an end, it is inevitable that talk of the upcoming summer transfer window will be rife.

Much has been made of the activity that, according to those outside of Arsenal, needs to happen.

Many believe that a better striking option is needed than Olivier Giroud and there have been endless rumours floating around since the summer of last year of potential new forwards on their way to the Emirates Stadium.

With Mikel Arteta struggling for form in recent months many want a new holding midfielder striding out onto the pitch next August.

Much has been made of the future of Bacary Sagna (more on that later).

The Frenchman's contract runs out at the end of the season and still no talks of a renewal have been stirred up.

Therefore many Arsenal fans have called for the likes of Seamus Coleman to replace him.

If all transfer rumours were to become true then a whole host of Arsenal players would leave in the summer.

Some rumours are more realistic than others and there is a strong chance (with some verging on certainty) that some of the current squad will not be at Arsenal come the end of the summer transfer window in September.

In choosing this list of five I tried to combine both the likeliness of said departure occurring and the strength of the rumours surrounding each saga as well as how important or high-profile each exit would be to Arsenal.

Who knows, I could get every single one of these wrong but here is a list of players who could potentially be on their way out of Arsenal in the summer.
