Manchester United could use Nani as part of Carvalho deal

Manchester United could offer Portuguese winger Nani as part of a deal to bring Sporting midfielder William Carvalho to the club this summer.

As reported by the Manchester Evening News, Nani - who only signed a new five year deal at the club earlier this season - is surplus to requirements at the Theatre of Dreams.

And, if reports are to be believed, Manchester United boss David Moyes could look to offload the star as he attempts to strengthen his midfield.

Nani signed for Manchester United back from Sporting in 2007, but could now move back to the club where he first made his name.

The Red Devils have been linked to Carvalho for some time now, and some reports in Portugal have even suggested the two clubs have agreed a £35 million deal for the central-midfielder.

However, with Nani's future now up in the air, it appears that David Moyes is ready to pull out all the stops in order to get Carvalho in the up coming market.

Moyes' immediate attention, however, will turn to his side's clash with Everton this Sunday. The Manchester United boss will return to his old stomping ground for the first time and will be desperate to take all three points away from Merseyside.
