1. Eliaquim Mangala | FC Porto
While Eliaquim Mangala may have performed well in the Portuguese league over the last couple of seasons, his performances in the Europa League suggest that he may not be ready for Premier League football just yet.
The 23-year-old, who has been capped twice by the French national team, has looked unassured and a little rash at times. Despite being able to carry the ball out of defence, he must get the basics right before any big European club even considers shelling out the prices that FC Porto are demanding.
It’s believed that Mangala would currently cost over £30m. David Moyes should put the chequebook away and look elsewhere. Plus, he already has three very good centre-backs at his disposal on the form of Jonny Evans, Chris Smalling and Phil Jones.
